Dedicated one-on-one mentorship for adults over 50 navigating profound life transitions.
Someone to talk to and someone to help you move forward.
Warm, practical mentoring for people finding their feet again after losing a partner, a divorce, the end of a long relationship or rediscovering your daily purpose.
Maybe the days feel long, and the evenings feel even longer. Friends were kind at first, but the calls have slowed down. You're not sure how to fill the weekends, or you've stopped trying.
Perhaps your partner was the one who kept the social calendar, and without them the invitations have dried up. Or you know you need to get out there again, but walking into a room alone feels harder than it should.
If any of that rings true, you're not doing anything wrong. You're in one of life's hardest transitions, and nobody hands you a map.
I'm not here to tell you how to feel or to rush you. I'm here to be someone you can talk to every week, who listens, remembers what matters to you, and helps you take the next small step.
Over 12 weeks, we'll work through three stages together:
• Weeks 1–4, Steady. We get your days back into a rhythm that feels good, and make one or two small, low-pressure connections.
• Weeks 5–8, Reconnect. We revive old friendships and try new people and places, with me cheering you on.
• Weeks 9–12, Rebuild. We find purpose and interests that are yours, so you leave with a plan to keep going.
We'll talk once a week by phone, Zoom, or FaceTime, whichever you're comfortable with. Between calls, I'll check in with a quick message to see how things went. Sometimes it's the small "How did it go?" that makes the biggest difference.
Establish calm, grounded routines. We slow down the noise of transition and restore a comfortable daily cadence where you feel supported.
Rediscover your values, interests, and community ties. We unpack what matters deeply now and begin bridging the gap toward renewed relationships.
Step into your next chapter with confidence, a clear personal roadmap, and self-sustaining clarity that stays with you long after our time together.
Every stage includes weekly 50-minute one-to-one conversations, by phone, Zoom or FaceTime.
and direct messaging check-ins between sessions, ensuring you never feel rushed or left to figure things out alone.
Hi, I'm Greg, the real person behind Lindsay the Listener.
Why Lindsay? Because "Greg the Listener" just doesn't have the same ring to it. But when you book a chat, you'll be talking with me every single time.
Born in Australia, I have lived here for most of my 75 years.
I've spent my life building businesses, running a large sporting complex, and coaching people to be their best. I've started over more than once, and I've learned that most people are far more capable than they feel - even on their hardest days.
I've also walked alongside people close to me through loss and divorce. I've seen how quickly a full life can become a quiet one, and how much it helps to have someone steady beside you while you find your way back.
Before anything else, I listen. Then, when you're ready, I'll help you take the next step.

I'm a mentor, not a counsellor or therapist. Our conversations are about moving forward: your routines, your confidence, your connections, and your next chapter.
If you're struggling with your health or need grief counselling, I'll always encourage you to speak with your doctor or a qualified professional, and I'm happy to work alongside them.
Our relationship is a professional one, with calls at set times and contact through my business channels only. You're welcome to have a family member join our first chat or subsequent chats if that would make you feel more comfortable.
Honest support begins with absolute clarity. Our mentorship is designed to foster forward momentum, daily rhythm, and renewed confidence in your next chapter, while honoring strict professional boundaries.
This mentorship provides an empathetic sounding board, practical structure, and steady accountability. We focus on who you are today and where you choose to go tomorrow: establishing purposeful daily routines, navigating unfamiliar rhythms, and rebuilding self-assurance with someone dedicated to your success.
Mentorship is non-clinical. It is not psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, medical diagnosis, or acute crisis intervention. If you are experiencing clinical depression, acute trauma, severe anxiety, or deep grief that requires clinical counseling, you deserve the care of a licensed healthcare professional.
Many clients engage in this mentorship alongside their ongoing work with a doctor, counselor, or licensed therapist. We warmly welcome and encourage that partnership to ensure you feel safely supported in every dimension of your well-being.
Safety First: If you are ever in urgent emotional distress or crisis, please contact your local medical provider or call your national mental health helpline immediately.
